The same product, three quite different problems
What a sales team needs from a business card is not what HR needs, and neither is what you need at a stand with no wifi. Here is how each one actually uses it.
Use cases
Sales teams
A sales team hands out more cards than anyone else in the company, and is the most likely to be carrying an old one. A digital card is current the moment it is approved, and it tells you whether it is being used.
HR and onboarding
Onboarding is where printed cards fail twice: a new starter waits weeks for a box, and a leaver keeps handing out a card nobody can recall. Issuing and revoking a digital card is the same action as adding and removing a person.
Events and conferences
A conference hall is the worst connectivity in the world and the best place to meet people. The offline code carries the contact details in the code itself, so a scan still saves the contact when the venue wifi has given up.
